Time Warp — the indoor techno classic
Time Warp in Mannheim is one of the most famous indoor techno events in the world: several floors, all night long. Indoor means warm — go for breathable mesh, a figure-hugging bodysuit and a shell jacket for the way out. With those sound systems, earplugs aren't optional, they're mandatory.
Nature One & Parookaville — open air in summer
At open-air festivals like Nature One (on the former Pydna missile base) or Parookaville, weatherproofing counts. Sun by day, cool at night, rain in between. The solution: layered looks of thin pieces, solid sneakers or boots, a water-repellent bum bag for phone and card — and UV body paint or LED accessories for the night.
Mayday & hard-techno nights like OUTWORLD
For harder sounds — Mayday in Dortmund or an OUTWORLD night by KLANGKUENSTLER — the dark, functional dress code applies: black, mesh, technical wear, a hint of cyber. Wide cargo or techno pants give freedom of movement, reflective details and a chrome choker add accents in the camera flash. Less decoration, more function — everything has to stay danceable.
The one rule for every festival
Indoor rave or open air: whatever you wear on your body has to fit in a bum bag. Phone, card, ID, keys, earplugs, sunscreen, water bottle — that's all you need.
